1. GREATER BALTIMORE COMMITTEE URGES MAYOR TO CREATE NON-PROFIT HARBOR MANAGEMENT AGENCY
The Greater Baltimore Committee has urged Baltimore Mayor Martin O'Malley to create a not-for-profit, quasi-governmental entity to manage the day-to-day operations and future development of Baltimore's Inner Harbor. The recommendation is contained in a report to Mayor O'Malley that was released on October 29 by the GBC.

3. LIFE SCIENCES PARKS COULD HELP MAKE BALTIMORE REGION A NATIONAL BIOTECH 'STAR'
If the development of two life sciences research parks in Baltimore City attracts a "critical mass" of bioscience companies, the Greater Baltimore region could become one of the nation's bioscience "stars," a prominent expert told a GBC audience on Oct 21.

4. "ISSUES & ANSWERS" FEATURES GOVERNOR EHRLICH IN NOVEMBER
Governor Robert L. Ehrlich, Jr. is the guest on November segments of "Issues & Answers," the public affairs program produced by Comcast in partnership with the GBC. Ehrlich and the show's host, GBC President Donald C. Fry, discuss issues such as the governor's vision for the state, economic development, life sciences, heritage tax credits, budget, spending and taxes. The segments will also provide an overview of the governor's first year on the job.
