Welcome to Bridging the Gap’s Minority Business Inventory!

Gaining access to new markets. Sounds like a simple phrase, but it isn't so simple to execute. For minority and majority businesses, this Inventory is intended to help you gain access to new markets.

The Greater Baltimore Committee is committed to making it easier for minority businesses to gain access to new business opportunities in Baltimore; and we're committed to helping majority businesses to identify minority owned businesses with whom they can do business.

The need for an Inventory became apparent as GBC spoke to its members about conducting business with minority businesses. Many CEOs expressed interest in their companies gaining access to new suppliers and service providers, particularly local, minority owned suppliers and providers. These CEOs asked GBC to identify minority owned businesses within the region, and to provide information on the experience and capacity of those businesses.

Commitments to use the Inventory as a resource in making purchasing decisions have been obtained from many businesses, including: Johns Hopkins Hospital; University of Maryland Medical System; Medstar Health System; the Baltimore Sunpapers; M + T Bank; Miles and Stockbridge PA; Sylvan Learning Systems; WMAR Channel 2; McCormick & Company; Under Armour and Villa Julie College, and more are being added daily.

We encourage minority owned businesses seeking new business opportunities to take a few minutes to complete the Application, which can be accessed in the get started section to the right.
