Telecommuting: Benefits and Engaging the Workforce

Having virtual workers increases a company's network, support and collaboration costs. Hear about the several major advantages to actively promoting a virtual workforce. In addition, learn how to engage remote workers so they do not feel isolated and disconnected from the rest of the organization. Chad Thompson and Dan Russell from Aon Consulting will present benefits and several strategies for engaging remote workers, aimed at reducing feelings of isolation and increasing organizational identification.

 



Daniel Russell is a Vice President at Aon Human Capital Consulting. He is the Human Capital Leader for Southeast Region- Southern Cluster. His primary roles include business development and directing projects with an emphasis in Change and Talent Management.





Chad Thompson
, Ph.D. is a consultant with Aon Consulting's Human Capital practice. Dr. Thompson consults extensively with Fortune 500 clients on designing, implementing and validating employee selection systems, designing and delivering leadership training and assessments, and analyzing and reporting on organizational surveys. His interest in employee engagement and retention led to a project to create and validate an assessment that helps organizations assess an individual's suitability for working remotely.
