Senator Benjamin Cardin of Maryland will discuss his role as the chairman of the Senate Subcommittee on Terrorism and Homeland Security. He will review the subcommittee's oversight of United States anti-terrorism enforcement and policy, particularly as it relates to increasing threats of cyber security breaches.

Dr. Bill Anderson, CEO of Oculis Labs, and Mr. Stan Nolen, the Cyber and Critical Infrastructure Lead at Varen Technologies, will participate in a panel discussion of the recent manifestations of the cyber security threat, how severe the threat is, and what can be done by the private sector to deal with such threats.

Maryland Department of Business and Economic Development Secretary Christian Johansson will discuss Maryland's future as the "Epicenter of Cyber Security" and DBED's efforts to reach out to the state's cyber security community, catalogue the state's IT assets, and develop strategies to secure them from attack.
