GBC 2010 Lunch with the Orioles hits home run with Baltimore business community

Business leaders and baseball fans from the Baltimore region's business community had a close-up look at the Orioles team at the Greater Baltimore Committee's annual rite of spring, "Lunch with the Orioles," on April 12 at the Hilton Baltimore Hotel.

The event featured a pre-luncheon reception which included an autograph session, and a Dixieland band. During the luncheon, audience members met Orioles players, coaches, and team celebrities who dined at their tables. The lunch program was emceed by Orioles announcers Gary Thorne, Tom Davis and Fred Manfra, and also included interviews of the Orioles team.

The GBC launched the event in 1980 to demonstrate strong business-sector support for the team.
