The Greater Baltimore Committee (GBC) is the leading voice for the private sector in the Baltimore region, providing insightful economic and civic leadership to drive collective impact. Comprised of more than 400 organizations, including large, mid-size, and small companies, nonprofits, foundations, and educational and healthcare institutions, the GBC is dedicated to fostering the prosperity of the Greater Baltimore region.
Our Vision
GBC is committed to fostering equitable economic growth in the seven-county Baltimore region, which includes Anne Arundel County, Baltimore City, Baltimore County, Carroll County, Cecil County, Harford County, and Howard County.
GBC was founded in 1955 by local civic and business leaders to take “prompt and aggressive action looking towards the solution of many of the city’s most pressing problems,” according to the press release announcing the organization’s establishment.
